Motivational Monday #3 - Being Yourself

I. Hate. Mondays. However, I thought I would check in with another Motivational Monday post, and this time I'm writing about the importance of being yourself and embracing what makes you unique. This is something I've always struggled with, as I've always been a person that's most likely to be found in the background of situations, but recently, I've found it easier to be myself around people. I've developed my own 'style' (if that's what it can be called) in terms of the clothes and shoes I wear, my abundance of crazy, light blonde, natural curly hair, and the things I like. I want to be different. I love to wear different clothes and appreciate different things, and I can do it all without feeling stupid. I've never felt as confident in myself as I do at this moment in time.

The freedom to wear and do what makes YOU happy, is a great thing. If you accept yourself, others will too. It's so important to embrace the things that make you different, otherwise we would all be like weird, identical robots. The world would be a boring place if we were all the same, so just keep that in mind!

I hope you all have a good week, and I'll be back soon with another post. Lots of hugs! X

Motivational Monday #2 - Personal Goals

Hello, errrbody. To say last week was a stressful one would be an understatement. In the lead up to exams, school becomes even less enjoyable and even more stressful, and I'm not just talking about exam revision. On Tuesday I had a prelim/mock exam for maths and an English textual analysis unit assessment, Wednesday was the day of my Modern Studies assignment write-up that is worth a third of my overall exam grade and I also had to do another English unit assessment, then finally, on Thursday I had the second paper of my maths prelim. Trust me, by the time Friday came, I couldn't have been more relieved. I've never felt so drained in my life.

Sooooo, in an attempt to make this week a slightly more successful one, I'm gonna set some personal goals, and think it would make me more likely to go through with them if I leave them here for people to read. Personally, setting myself goals and targets encourages me to successfully achieve them, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who works this way. You can't beat the way you feel after completing all the things you want to, and I'm here to encourage you to do the same. Trust me, you'll feel better for it. Anyway, here are my 5 personal goals for this motivational Monday.

1. Get Up When My Alarm Goes Off

2. Complete All Homework By 9pm

3. Smile More

4. Carry Out At Least One Random Act Of Kindness

5. Spend Less Time On Social Media

Let me know what kind of goals you like to set yourself! Have a wonderful week, and I love your face. Byeeee!

Motivational Monday

Mondays are hard for everyone. I know for a fact that I lack inspiration and end up wishing my week away so I can spend another weekend watching hours of Netflix. So, in a bid to motivate mainly myself (and maybe a few others), here are some of my favourite motivational and inspirational quotes!

"It's not life if it's not worth fighting for." - Charles Trippy.

"Happiness is a choice." - Shay Carl.

"You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it." - Robin Sharma

"Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi.

"You can't knock on opportunity's door and not be ready." - Bruno Mars.

"The time is always right to do what is right." - Martin Luther King.

Photo credit goes to me, taken on Blackpool pier..believe it or not.

These are so cliche, but even if it isn't Monday where you are, sometimes just one positive thought can turn a bad day into a better one.

Adios amigos x
